I only meant this “world peace” quip as a crack on Target’s designers, who, in fact, have a history of making things like spray cleaner into totally awesome pieces of household art.

The kid’s joke struck me as shockingly crass for a ten or eleven-year-old kid. But I concede that if the kid substituted “cooties” for “herpes”, the joke really could never have worked.

Today marked the beginning of my son’s formal education. I’m proud to have helped get him here, and it makes me happy (envious?) to think of the spectrum of opportunities and possibilities this milestone represents.
